Shocking CCTV shows an elderly woman and her daughter bravely tackle two carjackers who attacked them in broad daylight. Two hoodie-wearing thugs are seen lying in wait as Lynn Elwell, 62, reverses her new Mercedes A Class out of her mum’s driveway.Moments later the thieves forced open the driver’s door and hauled Lynn out of the car onto the ground. The thugs repeatedly kicked Lynn as she clung onto the car which she had only bought two weeks earlier.Lynn’s 82-year-old mum, wearing a dressing gown and slippers, ran over to help her daughter and stood in front of the car in a bid to stop the thieves escaping.Footage then shows the carjackers drive straight at Lynn’s mum and hit her as she leapt out of the way.The women were left battered and bruised by the carjacking which happened on Evans Street, Willenhall, West Mids., on February 28.Lynn had been at her mum’s house to drop her dog off before going to work as a hairdresser when the thieves struck at around 8am.The mum-of-one said: “It was horrible. It makes you mentally scared, there is no way to describe it, after something like this happens, you are always looking over your shoulder.#&34;I've never had anything like this. I actually grew up in that area and not once did I have any trouble. “I just never expected anything like that to happen.#&34;I had just come out of my mom's, I always drop the dog off at around 8am and have a coffee. “When I got back into the car I opened the window to wave goodbye and one of the lads just ripped open the car door.#&34;Another lad jumped in the passenger seat and he started shouting 'get out of the f****** car.' “I was scared, I put up a bit of a struggle, and the other one started opening my seatbelt, one of them punched me a few of times and shouted 'Get out!'#&34;My mom also came out when she heard the commotion, and when they took off in the car they actually clipped her hip, if she hadn't jumped out of the way, it could have been a lot worse.#&34;The footage has been passed to the police who have launched an investigation into the violent carjacking.Lynn added: #&34;My stomach just goes over and over, it's the mental part of it that is sticking with me. “I can't sleep properly either, every little noise is waking me up. It's strange how it affects you like that.#&34;They have got my keys, we have all changed our locks but you just never know. “They also got my hairdressing bag which has affected my business. “It was never bad around there when I was young, but it's just so much worse now. My parents are also having issues with feeling safe now too.#&34;There have been a number of incidents like this in the area as well, not long after what happened to me there was also another attack just down the road.#&34;The area is getting worse. I have a new car now, but I had only had that one for a few days. They used my card as well.
